Baptism, a quickening experience of the Holy Spirit of our Holy God;

A Glorious Transformation.

A blessed bright morning. This Sunday morning, the usual hustle and bustle activity was inactive, but Oh! Glory to God!

The earliest my family and I arrived for service was on this Glorious Sunday on which I was appointed for Holy Baptism, at Revival Time Assembly. The congregation sang beautiful praises to the Lord, the hymn ' Great is thy Faithfulness.' These four powerful words were repetitious in my mind and I summed up:

Great is God's Faithfulness.

Greater should be our effort in keeping God's commandments because then and only then would we experience His faithfulness to the fullest. After greeting the brothers and sisters of the congregation, I pursued my calling.

The ladies and the few young children were presented with white gowns. The men were dressed in pristine white shirts and black pants. Some of us proceeded to walk as the selected spot was nearby.

A man of the heart, appropriately called Pastor Hart, was already in the faded blue waters, anxiously awaiting those who had the desire to accept Jesus as their Lord.

Brother Albert, another anointed appointed, gave us firm reminders of the significance of Holy Baptism. It was indeed a 'special day' for all newly born again and a time of reflection, having established a relationship with the Lord and now taking the (Baptism in Grace), B.I.G. Plunge, to go forth into the world as...a new creature...a babe in Christ. By the Grace of God we would manifest as teachers, pastors, prophets...whatever calling God had ordained for each of us.

As we stood beneath the sheltered shadow of the Almighty, I could hear an echoed version of 'This is just the beginning.' My heart drummed much faster now for my response was 'Yes Lord!

Ask anything of me and I will not hesitate to do your will; for I am going to do it willingly and most wantingly.

Oh Thank You Lord for this blessed opportunity to declare Jesus is Lord.

Brothers and sisters lent support by their presence of the song, 'Leave your burdens down by the riverside' and burden yourselves no more.

Finally, I went into the calm caressing waters. With a little assistance, I glided through the blue waters. Pastor Hart graciously took my right hand when this thought flowed through my mind: 'Oh Lord, this is long overdue.' When Pastor asked if I had accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour, he must have gotten the most replies from me 'YES! yes! yes!.....

I closed my eyes, anxiously awaiting the Baptism in Grace Plunge. My three year old daughter described it as I being 'capsized' into the salted water.

As I went below the water I did not experience the usual fear and turmoil that normally occurred.

There was such calm. I felt as though I had fallen asleep under water and the disturbance was evident when my Pastor yanked me up out of the water.

Nevertheless, I came up spiritually renewed by Divine Grace. Praise God!

Bless the name of the Lord for Sanctification by the Holy Spirit, through His sacrificial Son/Sun, Jesus Christ.
